Small firms prep for rise in gas prices

CNN MONEY -- New York - Businesses that rely on fuel to get their products directly to customers are bracing for a sharp rise in gas prices. Among those most affected are online grocers, Internet bakers and food trucks. Some are considering options they took during the last oil price peak in 2008: jack up prices, shrink service areas and cut jobs. (Snip) "We're terrified," Fain-Rossen said. Entrepreneurs are willing to take risks - but it sucks when something like this derails your business plans and dreams. I'm not sure raising prices now ahead of gas price spikes is good business - but small business owners are going to have to do something.
